Welcome to Community Garden of Joy

A SMALL STORY ABOUT US

This garden was established in 1985 with a few good people who wanted to have a place to grow organic food for a healthy living. They came together with the help of the city of Bridgeport to turn the empty lot on Gregory Street and Walnut Street into a beautiful garden. Throughout the years, the garden has supported the local South end residents of Bridgeport with free fruits and vegetables. The garden brings joy into the neighborhood with trees and flowers to beautify the neighborhood. During harvest time, the gardeners give free fresh produce, herbs and vegetables to the local residents. It will continue to be a safe and beautiful place  for the community to gather and to strengthen the community.
